Richard Bailey has been playing guitar for 20 years. He has been an active member of Burlington Vermont's prestigious music scene since he played in his first punk band (the Radioactive Hamsters) in 1986 at 242 Main. Since, he has continued to learn and grow though experience, instinct, and by being open minded.

In 1991 Richard and childhood fellow punk friend, Marc Daniels decided to branch out and form there own hybrid brand of Punk/Rap, writing high speed songs filled with leftist statements and insights. For 10 years the band Dysfunkshun toured and gained national acclaim as one of the original crossover punk/rap bands. During this period Richard continued to pursue his wide range of musical interests from punk to rockabilly/country music.

After disbanding dysfunkshun in 2001 Richard continued on with a new quartet "stealing from thieves" where he and his band mates can continue to play as many styles of Rock and Roll as they can think of.
